The Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (SFMSDC) is committed to creating a business environment that promotes and expands access and opportunity for minority owned businesses and profitable business relationships between SFMSDC Certified Suppliers, Large Corporations and Government Agencies.

The SFMSDC facilitates business relationships, procurement and contracting opportunities among SFMSDC Certified Suppliers and SFMSDC Corporate and Government Members. The Council also strongly advocates MBE to MBE spend.

 

Corporate Membership

A Corporate Member is a large public, private or foreign owned company, university, hospital, government agency or other large buying institution that is committed to Supplier Diversity and purchasing from certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs).

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification

A Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) is an independent for profit enterprise, regardless of size, located in the United States or in one of its trust territories, which is owned and controlled by an ethnic minority. SFMSDC certifies Asians, Hispanics, African American, and Native American owned companies. Minority ownership is at least 51% of the company. Certification with the SFMSDC provides valuable resources to help your business grow and succeed. The SFMSDC offers opportunities to meet with corporate and government buyers who are interested in working with qualified and certified MBEs..

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Reciprocal Certification

The MBE Reciprocal Certification is available to activley certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) from one National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Regional Council to another requesting to be provided all the services given to its locally certified MBEs. This includes access to a database of other MBEs and Corporate members, being placed in the local database, access to the Councils programs and events, inclusion on information and opportunities shared with all MBEs and a reciprocal certificate.
