What is an Industry Group (IG)?
The Pipeline to Business Growth and Opportunities
Industry Groups were created by the Council to further develop relationships between MBEs, Corporate Members and Government Agencies. The Industry Groups promote business opportunities, create additional means of networking, showcases the capabilities of Minority Business Enterprises and identifies the purchasing needs of Corporate Members and Government Agencies.
  What is Committee?
Committees are created to accomplish tasks or oversee an ongoing area affecting the organization. Committee members meet, discuss and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on a segment of the organization, potential or planned project. Committees draw people together of relevant expertise from different parts of the Council to share information and coordinate actions.
Why Join an Industry Group?
Even Superheroes need Allies
Through the Industry Group and the Online Portal your company will find allies within your industry that have common goals and needs. As with any member based organization, we encourage our Corporate Members and MBEs to be active participants. Your company will get as much as or even more than what you put into the Council. The IG leads to an opportunity to forge critical business relations for the growth of your company and industry.
  Why Join an Committee?

The SFMSDC needs your active involvement to help you meet your business goals and objectives as well as those of the Council. Committees are the eyes and ears of our organization. By joining a committee you are able to give a voice to your concerns, make recommendations, submitt ideas and had a closer connection to our Board of Directors.
